Why does the Watchtower need to talk now about jws on minial self employed jobs? The answer is given on the first paragraph of Study Article 43 with the title how to overcome your doubts:
PEOPLE of all ages have doubts at times. For example, imagine a young Witness who wonders if Jehovah is really interested in him. He may be unsure about getting baptized. Or think about a middle-aged brother who in his youth chose to pursue Kingdom interests rather than a career in this world. With the family budget now stretched to the limit, he may be having second thoughts
People are having doubts now because they were given bad financial advise in the past by the Watchtower. Instead of pursuing a prosperous career in their younger years and have enough to retire in their older years they were instead given bad advise by the Watchtower to pursue pioneering and live off goverment benefits while doing minial jobs like window cleaning or gardening. Nothing wrong with window cleaning or gardening what is wrong is that a super rich organization convinced them to abandon going into university, getting a degree or sacrifice lucrative jobs so they can work free of charge for them. Now that these people are looking back on what they sacrificed they are having doubts about this organization. Paragraph 10
expands on this thought even further:
Later in life, some could think back and wonder whether they made the right decisions. Perhaps they decided to give up a promising career or a successful business in order to serve Jehovah more fully. Now time has passed, perhaps even decades. They may see acquaintances who pursued secular interests and who now enjoy apparent financial security. As a result, they may wonder: ‘Were the sacrifices I made for Jehovah worth it? Or did they cause me to miss other opportunities?’
It is the living standards crisis that is currently hitting every person on the planet, higher gas prices, higher food prices, higher rend or mortgages rates. People don't have the time or the energy anymore to indulge crazy cult directives. They finally admitted themselves in the first paragraph that people are struggling when they say " with the family budget now stretched to the limit, they may have doubts."
SInce they admit to thisproblem what practical solution do they have to offer? Are you ready for it? OK, close your eyes, now imagine you are standing in God's heavenly sanctuary, now feel refreshed and think of all the nasty people gone.Ok? Problem solved.That is the solution. You don't believe me? read on in paragraph 12
The psalmist went to the peaceful setting of Jehovah’s sanctuary. There, he was able to think clearly. He discerned that even though the life of some might seem easy, their long-term future was precarious. With this insight, he found peace of mind, knowing that pursuing spiritual things was the very best decision. As a result, he renewed his determination to continue serving Jehovah...You can find similar peace of mind with the help of God’s Word. How? Contemplate the value of what you have—including treasures in heaven—and compare this to the outcome for those whose only reward is what this world has to offer. They may completely rely on their achievements in this life because they anticipate nothing else in the future. For you, however, Jehovah promises blessings far beyond anything you could ever imagine. (Ps. 145:16) Also, consider this: Can we ever really know how our life would have turned out if we had made different decisions?
So their solution is an imaginary once as you see in this photo of the aging jw window cleaner dreaming of Paradise. Or in other words the fulfill the words of James 2:16 of the evil slave, where it says in New Living Translation:

And since they pride themselves being like the first century Christians, let's see what the early Christian Church did when the Brotherhood encountered a standard of living crisis in Acts 2:44-46
All those who became believers were together and had everything in common, 45 and they were selling their possessions (=or their real estate billion dollar empire they build over 100 years) and properties and distributing the proceeds to all, according to what each one needed. 46 And day after day they were in constant attendance in the temple with a united purpose, and they took their meals in different homes and shared their food with great rejoicing and sincerity of heart,
So here is the thing, you claim to be a follower of Christ sell everything, Bethel homes, World Headquarters,kingdom halls and put the money in the bank. Tell everyone to start meeting at home Bible study groups and create a universal fund that all jws around the world have access to and can claim financial relief according to their circumstances right? That's what the first Christians did right? Tell me where I'm wrong. But you know and I know that is the last thing they have in mind. What they have in mind is defrauding local congratulations from their Kingdom Halls and sell them at a market price, recent example the UK branch that defrauded local congregations from their kingdom halls and reported 250 million surplus in one their charities OR defrauding rank and file jws that struggle financially now like the brother in the photo by going after the property of their elderly parents who are so heavily indoctrinated that instead of leaving their property to their relatives the leave it to the Watchtower.

And see how they still try to micromanage their members down to the finest detail and how still apostates and more accurately active apostates are public enemy number one. So without further ado we read in the paragraph 14 the first half :
Does what we have considered mean that we would completely ignore a person who has been removed from the congregation? Not necessarily.Certainly, we would not socialize with him. (=notice the sentence "completely ignore" which is what the practiced up to now to "not socialize with him" which is what they want you to do now.
So how do you go from ignoring someone to not socialize with him? It is this tiny grey area that they want to define for you now and they explain further on in the paragraph.
But Christians can use their Bible-trained conscience in deciding whether to invite a person who was removed from the congregation—perhaps a relative or someone they were close to previously—to attend a congregation meeting.
Did you notice the weasel get out of jail words? "Bible trained conscience" it's the famous 3 words they have used over and over in their publications to make their case to the courts that it us not them it's use who decides now who to associate with. We don't disfellowship our members it is our followers who decide to do so based on their Bible trained conscience. Brilliant and I love it! Now the paragraph continues :
What if he attends? In the past, we would not greet such a person. Here again, each Christian needs to use his Bible-trained conscience in this matter. Some may feel comfortable with greeting or welcoming the person to the meeting. However, we would not have an extended conversation or socialize with the individual.
Again the famous three words "Bible trained conscience " but thus time they define the premise, "SOME may feel comfortable with greeting or welcoming the person to the meeting".Let me tell you how that works out and that is how I have experienced it myself. You turn up at the meeting ,if the brother elder welcomes you shakes your hand then that signals to the rest that are free to do so themselves. Mind you most of the old guard don't like this new arrangement so they carry on being their unfriendly lot they used to be. But don't get carried away as the Watchtower says "we would not have an extended conversation or socialize with the individual." Talking about micromanaging rank and file down to the most minute detail!
So now thay will give you the new Biblical background of how they came about with this groundbreaking change. We read in paragraph 15 :
Some may wonder, ‘Doesn’t the Bible say that a Christian who says a greeting to such a person becomes a sharer in his wicked works?’ (Read 2 John 9-11.)
Did you notice again the weasel words? "Some may wonder" l wonder how this wonder came about? Could it be that YOU wrote in your magazines for decades that anyone associating with a disfellowshipped person is a a sharer in their wicked words? I didn't wonder about it, I read about it in your magazines and then it was drummed into my ears from countless elders from the platform. I didn't just start thinking about it. But you see this is their modus operanti the way they always distance themselves from any incriminating thing they wrote in the past. It wasn't ME that wrote about it ,it was used that thought about it. Do you see how that works? The paragraph continues:
The context of this scripture shows that this direction refers to apostates and others who actively promote wrong conduct. (Rev. 2:20)
Let's read this verse because they only quote it, there it says "Nevertheless, I do hold this against you, that you tolerate that woman Jezʹe·bel, who calls herself a prophetess, and she teaches and misleads my slaves to commit sexual immorality and to eat things sacrificed to idols". Do you see that woman Jezebel? This is you going around the congregation spreading apostasy that Samuel Herd looks papa smurf with a beard or that Stephen Lett looks like a clown. So the paragraph continues:
Therefore, if a person is actively promoting apostate teachings or other wrongdoing, the elders would not arrange to visit him.
Let me break that down for you, the key word is ACTIVELY. What that means is a brand new thing and I experienced it myself first hand. Up to recently you were not allowed to even have apostate thoughts in your head, they even made a drama about this a couple of years ago.A sister was having apostate thoughts and was counceled, it was there as convention drama few years ago. Talking about Communist China and Big Brother. This is not working anymore, anyone with a mobile phone and 5 minutes to spare can be a little apostate now. So they have created 2 classes now the active and the inactive apostates. Don't you love how they love creating classes for everything? In other words it is already to have apostate thoughts in your mind or watching funny exjw apostate videos just as long as you don't talk about it. That's been inactive. But when start making videos or have a website then automatically you get to be a dreadful active apostate, you become a little Jezabel from the book of Revelation and that's when you become enemy number one. So what happens in that case? The paragraph continues :
Of course, there is hope that he will come to his senses. Until that happens, though, we would neither greet such a person nor invite him to attend a congregation meeting
So being an active apostate is like being the big bad wolf, so no greetings for you at the meeting and no visits from the elders.

It is quite obvious from this year's convention of "Declaring the Good News" that the visual references to angels has reached new heights. The hierarchy of the Jehovahs Witnesses are obsessed with angels and the way they affect the ministry as well the lives of everyday Witnesses. This is a problem!
You see in order to create a healthy organisation that claims to be Christian 3 ingredients are paramount : the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. After all Jesus was explicit of that requirement in His departing words in Matthew 28:19
Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit
No where does the verse makes mention of angels BUT the Watchtower will have you believe that angels are an integral part of this equation. Of course when you remove any meaningful contribution of Christ as the head of the congregation and reduce him to figurehead only with the Governing body using Him or Jehovah for their ever changing policies or doctrinal changes and when you remove the holy spirit from the lives of rank and file Jehovah's Witnesses then you are left with a massive dark spiritual void that they want to fill in with angels. This is dangerous!
The apostle Paul speaking to first century Christians that were facing simular spiritual traps issued the following warning in Galatians 1:6-9
6I am astonished that you are so quickly deserting the one who called you to live in the grace of Christ and are turning to a different gospel— 7which is really no gospel at all. Evidently some people are throwing you into confusion and are trying to pervert the gospel of Christ. 8 But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach a gospel other than the one we preached to you, let them be under God’s curse! 9As we have already said, so now I say again: If anybody is preaching to you a gospel other than what you accepted, let them be under God’s curse!
This is not an empty warning, Jehovah's Witnesses have fallen in this trap in the past when the second president of the Watchtower Judge Rutherford made the spectacular statement in 1932 in his book Consolation that
The holy spirit as an advocate or paraclete had ceased!!! functioning in behalf of the consecrated (meaning himself since he was the only one allowed to dictate doctrine with his writings) and angels were now employed were employed to now do the job of the Holy Spirit.
Since the doctrinal changes he instigated after this statement namely the two tier class system of the 144000 and the great crowd in 1935 where 8.4 million Jehovah's Witnesses refuse communion and are inferior to the all promises for Christian in the Bible it can be surmised that the angels that Judge Rutherford was consulting were in fact demons that convinced him to impose a different Gospel on his rank and file followers.
The Watchtower never officially walked away or distanced themselves from this 1932 statement. Although it has never been repeated since the current Governing body with their constant fascination with angels is once again flirting with the idea that angels and not holy spirit is the ones that we should concern ourselves with. This is dangerous and they are setting once again Jehovah's Witnesses down a perilous path.
